Kudzu: The Vine That Ate the South

Retired KSU professor and Pettit Preserve Board Member, Ed Bostick, presents the biology, history, folklore, & artistry of kudzu (Pueraria lobata.) In its brief residence in the USA, kudzu has inspired and bedeviled farmers, historians, biologists, artists, and poets. Participants will make wreaths and baskets of kudzu (vines provided).
Preparing your Landscape for Spring
Saturday, February 18, 1 – 2:30PM, Ages 16 – adult; $10 General Public/FREE CNC Members (includes admission to CNC); Registration Required by February 10.
Late winter is the ideal time to spruce up your yard for the arrival of Spring. Join CNC Horticulturalist Lisa Cole in a hands-on presentation of late-winter projects in the garden. Topics include what to prune and when, how and why to add mulch to the garden, and planting basics. By taking these small steps, you will ensure a beautiful garden with the coming of Spring.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
If a class is cancelled for any reason you will receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact our office at least six business days prior to your scheduled program. $20 of your registration fee will be retained by CNC. You will receive confirmation when we receive your cancellation. If you do not receive confirmation within one business day, we have not received your cancellation. No refunds will be given for cancellations made fewer than 6 business days prior to your scheduled program.
